The Festo VUVS-L20-M32U-MD-G18-F7 is a 3/2-way closed, monostable solenoid valve used to control compressed air in pneumatic systems. It is commonly installed where air needs to be switched on and off reliably for cylinders, actuators, or small pneumatic circuits. When power is applied, the valve switches; when power is removed, it returns to its default position by spring force. This valve is part of the VUVS series, which is designed for stable operation in industrial automation and machine control environments.
This is a normally closed 3/2 valve. That means air is blocked when the valve is not energised, and airflow starts only when the solenoid is powered. Once power is cut, the valve resets automatically.
It is usually chosen for tasks where the air must stop immediately upon power loss.
