Meggers MIT420/2 Series of insulation and continuity testers are designed for testing electrical installation and specialist applications where accurate, reliable and safe testing is essential. Combining the latest range of measurement techniques with new instrument design to provide a state-of-the-art tester that is compact and comfortable to hold. Featuring a redesigned case, back-stand and 6 cell battery compartment with separate fuse access. All instruments are over-moulded for increased protection and achieve an IP54 weatherproof rating, providing an almost indestructible case.
All primary results are displayed in the larger digital display and repeated on the analogue arc. Auxiliary test information such as frequency, leakage current, insulation or circuit voltage is displayed in the smaller secondary digital display. A variable range has been added to allow any intermediate voltage from 50 V to 1000 V in 10 V steps. Where application- specific test voltages are required that do not appear in the standard ranges.
Continuity testing is now faster, a single auto-ranging 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ function replaces the "ohms" and "k ohms" ranges. Retained are the 200 mA and 20 mA test options.

MIT2500 Insulation Tester
MIT2500 insulation & continuity tester has been designed for the Electrical and Industrial test applications. Where operation voltages exceed 1000 V and higher insulation test voltages are needed.
The tester offers both fixed range voltages of 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V and 2500 V. And a variable range that allows any voltage between 50 V and 2500 V to be "dialled in".
MIT2500 features a redesigned case, back-stand and 6 cell battery compartment. It also offers a guard terminal to reduce surface tracking currents that reduce accuracy at higher voltages.

The Megger MIT525 5kV lightwEight and compact insulation tester are used for diagnostics testing and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment. It measures insulation resistance up to 10Tohm and offers tests such as polarisation index, dielectric absorption ratio, step voltage, dielectric discharge and ramp testing. This device has a lithium-ion battery and the large, clear and easy to read display makes it suitable for use in sunlight and poorly lit environments. The Megger have been a pioneer of earth/ground testing and provide. Exceptional test meters with accessory kits for this purpose. The Megger Earth Test Kit (ETK models) are designed to be as practical as possible. Housed in a holdall, the kits are stored neatly, well protected and easy to transport. Much care has been taken to produce a variety of kits to meet needs.
In use the test leads are fitted and retained on reels with smooth
action. Simply run out the test lead from the instrument to the test
point, clip the end directly into the spike and test, easy. When the
test is complete, unclip the test leads and wind them in.
The kits come in different combinations to meet different needs
and constraints. They are supplied with a tape measure to ensure
accurate placement of test spikes/pins. The reels can be daisy
chained together to provide longer lengths in manageable chunks

The new MFT1700 series from Megger tests low voltage electrical installations to BS7671. Providing all the tests required to complete the necessary electrical certification for industrial, commercial and domestic fixed wiring installations. The unique design allows it to be operated while mounted on the floor, a ladder-shelf, platform, and held or hung around the neck.
The new MFT1700 series includes full input protection and safety warnings when a hazardous voltage is present. If live voltages exist on a circuit during insulation or continuity testing, the voltage is displayed on the screen. If this voltage exceeds a safe level, further testing is inhibited and a warning beep sounds.

There are two new advanced models: MIT 525 (
