The Pilz PSEN 1.1p-23 / PSEN 1.1-20 magnetic safety switch is used to monitor the position of safety guards, doors, and covers on machines. Its job is simple: confirm whether a guard is closed or open and send a clear signal to the control system. It operates on 24 V DC and is commonly used in machinery that requires reliable position monitoring for safety compliance.
The unit works using a non-contact magnetic principle. When the actuator is correctly aligned with the switch body, the system detects a safe condition. Once the guard opens or alignment is broken, the signal changes immediately.
The switch and actuator are housed in durable plastic, keeping the unit lightweight and corrosion-resistant.
