The CHIPQUIK SMD291SN is a unique lead-free solder paste supplied in a 5-cc syringe (15 g) with a plunger and nozzle for easy soldering, reworking, and desoldering applications. This no-clean solder paste features a robust 100 mm/sec printing speed, low voiding, and a melting point of 138 °C. The paste also provides superb wetting compatibility on the majority of board finishes and offers excellent compatibility with print heads (enclosed). This flux works great! I bought two Wii controllers off eBay that didn't work and traced the problem to the Bluetooth chips. The solder joints underneath had cracked so I sprayed some of this flux around it and covered everything else with aluminum foil then hit it with the heat gun for about 40 seconds until the stream started bubbling and zapping like magic. I had two that worked. controllers! I've used this flow for a few other projects as well and it flows well and makes good ties. The applicator seems to be just the right size, not too big for fine enough work and not too small to clog. I've had it for about two months and it seems to be holding up well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who welds or reworks surface mount components.
