The Festo AMTE-M-LH-N14 is a pneumatic silencer that reduces exhaust noise from compressed air systems. It is installed directly into the exhaust port of pneumatic valves, cylinders, or air tools to reduce excessive noise caused by escaping air. With a pressure rating up to 10 bar, it is suitable for standard industrial compressed air applications. This silencer is designed for everyday pneumatic setups that require noise control without affecting airflow or system performance.
The body is made of bronze, which offers good durability and corrosion resistance in industrial environments. It uses a 1/4 inch NPT male threaded connection, making it easy to install into compatible pneumatic components without adapters.
The silencer works by diffusing exhaust air instead of allowing it to exit suddenly. This helps lower noise levels while maintaining proper exhaust flow, which is essential for valve response and system efficiency. It does not act as a flow control device. Its purpose is noise reduction only, without causing back pressure that could affect pneumatic operation.
