Hook Clips
What are Hook Clips?
Hooks are also called test hooks and integrated circuit clips. They are small plastic probes that are adjustable onto the terminal of a test lead. Since they are employed to make a temporary electronic secure connection that would be used with fragile components, these clips and test leads are combined. You may observe and test electronic circuits when attached to a tool like a multimeter. For maintenance or troubleshooting, this is crucial. On a breadboard, prototyping can also be done using clips and test leads.
How does it work?
An outstanding technique that is used to control and adjust the hook, like a spring. When it is pushed forward, the hook is inclined to protrude out of the clip once it is stretched, and that hook is prone to retract back into the clip. For the purpose of making an electrical connection, the spring hook can be hooked into a wire or lead. You can operate without using your hands because the hook can stay on the connection until the spring is pulled to release it once more. They firmly hold microscopic parts and prevent short-circuiting.
Metal hooks are used to make clips. This is frequently made of brass and might be gold-plated. For insulation purposes, the clip housing is made of plastic material.
