What are ESD Testers?

Electrostatic discharge, abbreviated as ESD, is used to monitor the area resistance level to find out whether it is within an acceptable range of safety. An alarm and LED indication are frequently used to represent it. Regular ESD testing of wrist straps and grounding cords, heel straps, and electrostatic discharge footwear is important for static control.

This ESD tester measures the resistance of the external circuit between the metal contact button and the cord connectors or the foot test plate rotor using wristbands, wires, plates, and shoes. The fingertip button contacts and the operator's body resistance are both parts of the circuit. In the event that a failure is shown, ascertain whether the footwear or the wrist strap alone is malfunctioning by making sure the other components of the circuit are functioning properly.
