PTFE Tapes
PTFE tapes are leakage-preventing thin-film tapes designed to seal a range of pipe threads in plumbing and pipework applications that effectively stop water and gas leakage. PTFE is the abbreviation for Polytetrafluoroethylene and is a flexible and tough material with excellent temperature and chemical resistance with long-lasting functions. The tape allows secure seals and tightening before fitting or installing the threads and acts as thread lubricant. These deformable fillers prevent leaks from various connections, including water supply, drainage lines, and sewage usage. Additionally, the PTFE tape comes in single or multipacks and thicknesses.

What Colours Can PTFE Tape Come In?
Thread seal tapes are available in different colours, such as brown, grey, white, black, and translucent. However, the white sealing tape is used for standard plumbing applications, while the yellow tape is ideal for gas.
How Can I Use PTFE Tape?
The plumber tape is simple to apply over specific pipe threads. Simply wrap it around the male fitting’s male half to the thread’s direction, which remains in place after being tightened. The tape is generally wrapped many times (three to four times as recommended by industries) to ensure no leakage. However, avoid wrapping tape many times, as that can clog or prevent the joint from closing.

Klinger PTFE Threadseal Tape
The Klinger PTFE thread seal tape offers to offer a clean, quick and highly effective means of sealing threaded pipe fittings in the engineering chemical and electrical industries. It is supplied in spools so that it can be wound directly onto the pipe thread. This tape is 5mm thick, 14mm wide and 5m long.
