Lamps - Incandescents, Neons are small-scale lamps or light bulbs designed for indication or backlighting purposes. Lamps - Incandescents, Neons are small-scale lamps or light bulbs designed for indication or backlighting purposes. These incandescent neon lamps create light by heating a thin metallic filament to a high temperature by passing an electric current through a gas (usually neon) at low pressure. However, they require a relatively higher drive voltage and are often used for indicating or preventing the presence of AC line voltage.  

Why Use Lamps - Incandescents, Neons?

The neon incandescent lamps are highly favoured due to their remarkable features, including:

  • Long life: They last for an extended period of time, and the life expectancy of lamps increases significantly by decreasing the operating current.
  • Resistant to shock and vibration: Neon lamps are very robust and are shock and vibration-resistant. They are also resistant to frequent ON or OFF operations and can be operated over multiple temperature ranges. They also avoid mechanical damage by voltage transients of high-voltage static discharges. 
  • Very low current drain: Neon lamps are high voltage reference voltage sources, very stable due to unique operating specifications. Furthermore, they are also stable when driven with DC voltage at their design current of almost 90 volts.
  • Cool operation: They operate smartly and decline in light output upon evaporation and condensation of integrated electrodes of the glass envelope.

We provide surface mount through the board, standard socket-mating designs, and lamps for automotive dashboards, gaming, aerospace, remanufacturing consoles, and audio equipment. Furthermore, we also offer neon lamps ideal for applications that acquire line voltages and soft-light sources offered in specific bases or wire leads. Bi-Pin incandescent lamps are also available with dual rigid leads of varied sizes for mounting directly onto a PC board and mating sockets. In addition, coloured filters and selected bases are provided for venting and soldering processes.
