Capacitive proximity sensors (CPS), also called non-contact sensors, are advanced electronic devices used to detect the presence or absence of nearby objects (metallic & non-metallic) without any physical contact. These sensors are widely used to sense smaller and lightweight objects, including solids, liquids, plastics, wood, paper, and glass, in various applications. • Cylindrical Capacitive Proximity Sensors – Also called tubular capacitive sensors, cylindrical CPS are larger and offer a wider sensing range. They are available in a variety of housing diameters and can be flush or non-flush mounted. 
• High-Temperature Capacitive Proximity Sensors – These sensors are designed to withstand high temperatures and resist heat without degrading.
• Analogue Capacitive Proximity Sensors – These sensors provide a continuous output signal proportional to the distance of the detected object. Analogue sensors are ideal for applications where precise positioning is required.
