The Festo SIES-8M-PO-24V-K-7,5-OE is a slot-style proximity sensor used to detect the position of moving parts inside machines. It is typically installed on pneumatic cylinders, slides, and linear actuators that require accurate end-position sensing. With a 1.5 mm sensing range, it reliably detects metal targets passing through the slot without physical contact. This sensor is designed for industrial automation where consistent switching and long service life matter more than complexity.
The slot-style design allows the sensor to detect objects as they move through the sensing gap. This makes it suitable for applications where space is limited or external mounting is impractical. The PNP output works directly with PLC inputs and standard control systems operating at 10-30 V DC.
