The Festo MS6-SV-1/2-D-10V24-2OE-SO-AG is a pneumatic exhaust valve that safely and quickly releases compressed air from a system. It is designed for situations where the air supply must be shut off immediately, such as emergency stops or machine servicing. With a flow rate of up to 4300 L/min and a pressure rating of 10bar, it supports medium to large pneumatic systems without restricting airflow. This valve is typically installed in compressed air preparation units to ensure machines are depressurised when power or control signals are removed.
During normal operation, the valve allows compressed air to pass through the system. When an emergency stop is triggered or the control voltage is lost, the valve automatically vents the downstream air. This reduces stored energy in the system and helps prevent unexpected movement of cylinders or actuators.
The valve body is made from aluminium, giving it strength without unnecessary weight. It is built for long-term use in industrial environments where vibration, pressure changes, and frequent switching are common.
