The Festo DSNU-16-125-PPV-A is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder designed for basic linear motion tasks in industrial automation. It is used where controlled push-and-pull movement is required, powered by compressed air in both stroke directions. With a 16 mm bore and 125 mm stroke length, this cylinder fits well into compact systems without sacrificing stability.
The cylinder is built with an aluminium tube and a stainless-steel piston rod, providing good resistance to wear and corrosion in typical industrial environments. It follows ISO dimensional standards, which makes it easy to replace or integrate into existing systems without redesigning mounts or brackets.
The PPV version includes adjustable pneumatic cushioning at both ends of the stroke. This helps reduce impact at the end positions, protecting both the cylinder and the connected mechanical parts. Cushioning also improves cycle consistency, especially in repetitive motion applications.
It works well in clean and moderately harsh environments where compressed air systems are already in place.
