The Festo H-QS-12 is a pneumatic non-return valve that allows airflow in one direction while blocking reverse flow. It is used in compressed air systems where backflow can cause pressure loss, unstable operation, or damage to connected components. With 12 mm push-in connections on both inlet and outlet, it fits directly into standard pneumatic tubing without extra fittings. Rated for working pressures up to 10 bar, this valve is suitable for most industrial and workshop air systems.
Once installed, the valve lets air pass freely in the intended direction. If pressure drops or reverses downstream, the internal mechanism closes automatically to stop air from flowing back. This helps maintain system pressure and prevents unexpected movement of cylinders or actuators.
The H-QS-12 uses push-in tube connections, which makes installation quick and clean. The compact body allows it to be installed close to actuators, cylinders, or distribution points where backflow protection is needed.
It is often used to hold pressure in part of a circuit while other sections are vented or shut down.
