The Festo LF-1/2-D-MIDI is a manual pneumatic air filter designed to remove solid particles from compressed air lines. It uses a 40 µm filter element to protect downstream pneumatic components from dirt, rust, and condensate that commonly build up in air systems. With a G ½ connection and a flow capacity of up to 3000 L/min, it fits nicely in medium-sized industrial air setups. This filter is used where clean, dry air is required to keep valves, cylinders, and actuators running smoothly and consistently.
The filter housing is built for regular industrial use and handles continuous airflow without restricting performance. The 40 µm filtration level is suitable for general pneumatic protection, preventing debris from reaching sensitive equipment.
This model uses a manual condensate drain, allowing the operator to release collected moisture when needed. It keeps the design simple and avoids reliance on automatic drain mechanisms that may fail in harsh environments.
It is usually installed upstream of regulators and lubricators to ensure clean air enters the system.
