The Festo SOOE-RS-R-PNLK-T is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor designed for straightforward object detection in industrial automation setups. It detects objects by sending a light beam toward a reflector and sensing the interruption when an object passes through. With a detection range of up to 6.5 meters, it works well in conveyor systems, packaging lines, and general machine automation. This sensor is made for stable operation in production environments where consistent detection matters more than complexity.
Because it uses retroreflective sensing, the sensor relies less on the object’s colour or surface finish than diffuse sensors do. As long as the beam between the sensor and reflector is blocked, detection is reliable.
The SOOE-RS-R-PNLK-T supports both NPN and PNP outputs, making it easy to integrate with various PLC inputs and control systems. This flexibility reduces the need for wiring changes when replacing or standardising sensors across machines.
The housing is designed for factory conditions, including vibration, dust, and continuous operation. Once aligned with the reflector, the sensor maintains consistent performance with minimal adjustment.
