Each pair of twisted pair cables have two conductors that are generally made up of copper and the other wire in the pair is insulation. The conductors and insulators are in a twisted form, thus given the name of twisted pair. Only the conductor wire carries the signal while the other is used as a ground wire. Each cable has tiny wires called strands. The size of strands are 0.25 mm and there are 50 strands per 2.5 mm.
