RF Transceiver Module

A transceiver is a combination of a receiver and a transmitter in one package. Wireless communication devices are what this name is the most applicable to:

Cell phones.
Cordless telephone sets.
Mobile two-way radios.
Handheld two-way radios.

This term can also be used to refer to the receiver or transmitter devices that are used in optical fiber systems or cables.

During transmission in a radio frequency transmitter, the receiver is silenced. The transmitter and receiver are allied to the same antenna with the help of a switch that restricts the o/p of the transmitter from damaging the receiver. With such a transceiver, it isn't easy to get any signals during the transmission, and this mode is known as half-duplex.

Whereas some transceivers allow the reception of signals through the transmission periods and are known as full-duplex. In the full-duplex mode, it is required that the transmitter and receiver frequently operate with different frequencies, due to which the transmission of signals will not interfere with the reception. Communication set devices use this mode. At the surface-based subscriber points, the satellite communication systems are always known to use the full-duplex transceivers. Uplink is the transceiver-to-satellite signal, whereas downlink is the satellite to transceiver signal.
