Maxim Integrated presents the MAX15062 series of ultra-small, high-efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC converters are the industrys smallest high-voltage synchronous buck regulator. A buck regulator is a DC-DC power converter which steps down voltage while stepping up current from its input to its output. This DC-DC converter with integrated MOSFETs operates over a 4.5V to 60V input voltage range.
The MAX15062 series delivers an output current up to 300mA and comes in variants of 3.3V (MAX15062A), 5V (MAX15062B), and adjustable output voltages (MAX15062C). The device has the capability of operating at -40 °C to +125 °C and employs a peak-current-mode control architecture with a MODE pin that can be used to operate the device in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes.
