The Sundstrom Battery-powered fan, included in the Sundstrom fan-assisted respiratory protective device systems along with a filter and an approved head top, serves as an effective alternative to filter respirators in all recommended situations. It is particularly suitable for tasks that are physically demanding, conducted in warm environments, or extended in duration. The user interface can include a hood, face shield, half mask, or full face mask. The fan, equipped with filters, delivers filtered air through a hose to the human interface, creating positive pressure that prevents surrounding pollutants from entering the mask. Key features of the SR 500 include a lithium-ion battery with two options: a standard 2.25 Ah (STD) battery with a charging time of approximately 1.5 hours, and a heavy-duty 3.5 Ah (HD) battery that charges in about 2 hours. The unit supports two filters or combined filters and offers an operating time of up to 13 hours.
