The Facom dead blow hammers use a head half filled with steel balls. The movement of the balls counteracts any tendency to bounce back after striking. Another benefit of this is that it makes sure when you hit down the hammer remains in position. The nylon striking faces remove the risk of lying chips when hitting hard metal objects.
