What is POM-C Acetal?
Acetal or polyacetal is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic and is a member of the family of plastics called polyoxymethylene (POM). POM-C acetal is a POM copolymer which, due to its high crystallinity, is especially tough with good chemical resistance. POM-C acetal also offers high mechanical strength, rigidity and hardness. This plastic also features good slide and wear properties, components made from this solid plastic sheet slide very easily and dont stick or lock up. This is an essential quality when this plastic is used in delicate or fine instruments where smooth operation is essential and in gears and bearings.
