The Festo HGL-3/8-B is a non-return check valve that allows airflow in one direction while blocking reverse flow. It is commonly used in pneumatic systems where backflow could affect performance, safety, or component life. With a pressure range from 0.5 to 10 bar, it fits standard industrial compressed-air applications without needing a special setup.
Once installed, the valve opens automatically when air flows in the intended direction. If pressure attempts to flow backwards, the internal mechanism closes instantly, stopping reverse movement. This helps protect upstream components and maintain predictable system behaviour, especially in circuits with multiple actuators or pressure zones.
The HGL-3/8-B uses a G 3/8 male threaded port, making it easy to integrate into existing pneumatic lines, manifolds, or fittings. Its compact metal body is suitable for tight installations where space is limited. The solid construction supports repeated pressure cycling without deformation or leakage, which is essential in systems that run continuously or under varying loads.
It is often installed near actuators, regulators, or branch points to maintain correct airflow direction.
