The Festo HGL-1/2-B is a non-return check valve that allows airflow in one direction while blocking reverse flow. It is commonly used in pneumatic circuits where pressure needs to be maintained or backflow prevented. With a 1/2-inch connection, it fits easily into standard industrial air systems. This valve does one job and does it reliably. There is no adjustment needed, no complex setup, and no extra features that get in the way.
Once installed, the valve opens automatically when air flows in the correct direction. If pressure tries to flow back, the valve closes immediately to stop it. This helps protect cylinders, actuators, and other pneumatic components from pressure loss or damage.
