The Festo QS-12-8 is a pneumatic tube-to-tube reducer nipple used to connect a 12 mm tube to an 8 mm tube in compressed air systems. It is designed for quick, tool-free installation and is commonly used when tube size changes are needed within the same air line. This fitting is made for clean, reliable connections in industrial pneumatic setups, not for temporary fixes or improvised piping.
Both sides of the QS-12-8 use push-in connections. You simply push the tube in, and it locks securely in place. The internal gripping and sealing system holds the tube firmly while preventing air leakage under normal operating pressure.
The fitting body is designed to handle standard industrial compressed air conditions. It resists vibration and maintains a consistent seal during regular machine operation. This makes it suitable for both static installations and systems with regular movement. The compact shape enables it to fit easily into control panels, machines, and tight routing spaces where larger fittings would be challenging to use.
It is often used when upgrading, modifying, or extending existing pneumatic systems without replacing the entire air line.
