Two-way Solenoid Valves Two-way solenoid diaphragm operated, normally closed valves are ideal for controlling water pressure 0.2 to 10 bar. The valve is continuously rated when the fluid temperature is below 25°C, the ambient temperature is below 60°C and the flow rate is above 5 L/min. A duty cycle of 40% is required for fluid temperatures up to 90°C Features and Benefits Application Information •Coil can be located in any one of eight positions •Maximum flow rate: 17 L/min •0.2 bar to 10 bar pressure range •Power consumption: 4 W •Nylon 6 body with 1/2 inch BSP ports (can be base mounted) •1/4 inch spade coil terminals •In the 12Vdc/24 V/ac version, the solenoid coil is wound so either voltage can be passed through it Typically used in hand washers, refrigeration equipment and automatic tap systems. Eight position coil location Compact solenoid valves suitable for most gas and fluid handling applications. Where practical, valves are shown with a schematic diagram showing the (circuit) function. The diagram is laid out so that the left-hand side of the diagram describes the valves operation when the coil is energised. When the coil is de-energised, the spring (or servo-assist) return controls the valve and is described on the right-hand side of the diagram. The 3 / 2-way designation indicates a valve with three ports and two modes of operation. It is normal practice to refer to 2 / 2-way valves as two ways. The port designations A, B, P, P1, P2 and R are used on the schematic diagrams and are marked on the valve bodies. Valve bodies are marked for a specific circuit function but can often be used for other functions. Reference to the schematic diagrams and technical specifications indicates the appropriate connections and pressure capabilities when an alternative circuit function is required.
