Logic - Buffers, also referred to as Logic Buffers, are semiconductor Integrated Circuits that are manufactured from two inverters that provide, side by side, a fundamental logic gate that supplies its input to its output regardless of any potential change. These devices are found in both inverted and non-inverted.
The ultimate goal of a logic - Buffers integrated circuit is being employed to reproduce the input, initially employing a potentially low and high regeneration of weak output for logic that is non-restoring. The propagation delay is increased by using circuits that drive the large capacitive load. The buffer also has features of transceivers and drivers that are employed to reproduce the input, employing a potentially high and a strong low. In order to increase the current capacity of a signal and enable it to drive a load, buffer gates act as amplifiers for weak signal sources.
Buffers are offered in a range of configurations, including changes in the number of channels, support for a range of inputs and outputs, including CMOS, DTL (Diode-Transistor Logic), single-ended, and support for several logic families, including HC, HEF, and TTL. Additionally, converters can be used in conjunction with buffers.
Bus buffers are an additional form of buffer that is offered. An IC called a "bus buffer" connects various data sources to a single bus. A logical high, a logical low, or a high impedance can be chosen for the open drivers, allowing other buffers to drive the bus. Similar to buffers, there are many types of bus buffers that support various logic families, inputs, outputs, and pin configurations on the IC.
Bus buffers are used in portable equipment, industrial controls, TV and video equipment, and other applications.
Buffers are found in a wide range of applications, which are given below.
