The Fortex Ferric Chloride solution is a full strength 45 Baume solution which is used for etching copper printed circuit boards (PCB) and various other metals. It is recommended to wear necessary protective clothing and other safety equipments before using the same. For etching on copper, brass and bronze the solution or etchant needs to be diluted with 30% added water. Usable temperature range between: 35°C and 55°C Always use at the optimum temperature of approximately 45°C in a temperature controlled etching tank for safe and efficient etching

It is an etching chemical containing organic acid, ideally used for large areas of equipment. It can be used as a scrubbing compound, applying it directly to an area and rinsing off, or as a cleaning solution, when an object can be left for a time in a dilution (typically 100g to 500ml of water), then rinsed. May be used up to 500g/l for stubborn stains.
