Splice Connectors

If you are looking for high-quality splice connectors that will effectively perform the job, then you are at the right place. Enrgtech offers a wide variety of splice connectors from some of the leading brands in the industry. With us, you can be assured of products' quality and reliability and timely delivery to your doorsteps.

Splice connectors generally consist of a plastic clip with a sharp metal inserted in it that helps cut through the jackets insulated with plastic of any two wires and then crimp them up. Splice connectors are used effectively to make splices connections quickly with two or more two wires. These splices are crimped together and soldered. When the power is conducted from a source cable to the table next to it is transferred at an unacceptable conductivity and can then pull-out resistance performance level.

How to Use Splice Connectors?

You can follow a few easy steps to get the job done correctly to form splice connections. Some of these steps in the sequence are as follows:

  1. Strip off one inch of the inner foil shield and the insulation jacket towards the end of the cables that you will splice together. The colored wires covered with plastic insulating jackets need to be left unattended.
  2. Then insert one of the individual interior wires left alone from one cable into the hole of the splice connector. Insert the end of the wire in. many connectors come with a clear side so that you can see whether or not the wire has been pushed in. Then you need to insert another same-colored wire from the cable into the other hole of the splice connector.
  3. Then use pliers and set the splice connectors between its jaws. Using the pliers, you can apply the proper pressure to snap the top and the bottom parts of the splice connector. The splice connector is then cut through the wires and clamped up to create a secure splice connection. Then repeat the same procedure with the remaining wires of the two cables.
  4. In the end, you can use a plastic zip tie to secure the wires together and prevent the splice connectors from being pulled apart. You can wrap the zip tie around the bottom of the insulation jacket of the cables you are operating and tie them to secure it. By using scissors, you can trim down the end of the zip tie.

Types of Splice Connectors

  • Crimp Butt Splice Terminal

Crimp butt splice connectors are shaped like tubes and consist of two crimps to join the wires in line. They commonly come with a metal tube put inside an insulated covering. Crimp splice connectors can perform several functions in electrical circuits like changing, lengthening, or repairing conductors in the electrical circuit.

  • Crimp Close End Terminal

Crimp close-end terminals are used to seal wires protected from moisture or air to prevent corrosion. You can find various sizes of crimp close-end terminals to suit the multiple diameters of cables. If you want more flexibility, you can also find adjustable crimp closed-end terminal connectors.

  • Crimp Barrel Foil Terminal

Crimp barrel foil terminals are connectors primarily used to provide a reliable connection and efficient heat dissipation.

Push Wire Terminal

Push wire terminals are connectors that are mostly used for providing reliable, secure, and fast connections and distribution of connectors in electrical housing applications.

RS Pro Closed End Crimp Connectors From RS PRO an insulated closed end crimp connector is a type of crimp terminal designed for the quick and easy joining or splicing of two or more electrical wires to form a permanent and reliable solderless connection. This RS PRO closed end connector is professionally designed using high-quality materials, with a tin plated copper barrel and a durable transparent nylon sleeving. The nylon sleeving has a flared entry design for easy insertion of your wires avoiding any turned back strands. How do you use a Closed-End Wire Connector? RS PRO nylon closed end connectors are easy to terminate. Simply strip the wires that need joining and insert them into the barrel of the connector and crimp together using a suitable crimper. The correct sized crimp connector can be calculated by adding all conductor cross-sectional areas together (mm²). The compression style electrical connection provides good tensile strength while maintaining maximum contact with the wire. The RS PRO series of closed end wire terminals are an essential addition to any electrician’s tool kit. Features and Benefits • Tin plated copper tube • Durable nylon insulation • Flared entry design for quick and easy wire insertion • Durable and reliable termination • Cost effective • Easy to crimp using a ratchet tool. Applications These closed end wire connectors are used in a wide range of industrial, commercial and domestic applications for joining electrical wires in wiring harnesses or insulating the ends of spare wires which may be required at a later date. They can be found almost anywhere where an electrical connection is required. Some of the most common are: • Industrial control systems • Automotive and transportation sector • Machine building • Electrical and electronic equipment • Commercial and domestic appliances Suitable Crimp Tooling For a suitable crimp tool to use with these closed end connectors please see stock no. 253-4583 .

TE Connectivity TERMI-FOIL SOLISTRAND Wire Terminals TERMI-FOIL SOLISTRAND wire terminals for use in the manufacture of transformers making it possible to use aluminium foil strip instead of copper wire windings. These TERMI-FOIL wire terminals can be applied to bare, insulated, anodized or coated aluminium and bare or insulated copper wire and have lances that penetrate surface oxides and insulation. When the two faces of these TERMI-FOIL terminals are clamped together these lances embed into the foil or strip creating an air-tight and moisture-proof connection. Typical applications for these TERMI-FOIL wire terminals include air or oil filled transformers, capacitors, reactors, solenoids, relays and regulators. They can also be applied in heating elements, alarm systems and electrostatic shields. Accommodate aluminium foil or strip thickness from 0.03 to 2.41mm and soft copper to 0.025mm Exceed current-carrying requirements No surface preparation necessary No noise injection in low-level audio circuits Will terminate or tap aluminium foil-wound coils Will splice two or more pieces of foil or strip TE Connectivity TERMI-FOIL Terminals and Splices
