What are DIN Connectors?

DIN Connectors Types
The DIN Connector is available in many varied types, including:
- 5-pin DIN Connectors - These connectors are organized in a very proper 5-pin circular sequence and are mostly used in older computer keyboards.
- S-Video connectors - These connectors consist of 4 pins organized in 2 rows and a keying block so that they cannot be inserted incorrectly.
- PS/2 connectors - These connection types have a keying block and six pins. Although it was initially utilized on PS2 consoles, this connection has since become the industry standard for connecting mice and keyboards.
- 8-pin Mini Din - These connectors contain two central pins and three pins at the top and bottom. They are frequently applied to projectors and mobile video equipment.
- Environmentally sealed connectors - Applications for these DIN-type connections include cable to cable, cable to board and cable to the device. They are typically employed in hostile circumstances.

The C 091 D+ range of cicular connectors from Amphenol, offering outstanding durability and performance with screw locking to IEC 61076-2-106, IP68 rating, 360 degree EMI shielding and internal strain relief.
