V & Wedge Belts

A V and Wedge Belts are an extended synthetic adaptable substance or rubber integrated to form a loop. Drive belts or V belts are embedded to connect two or more pulleys. These belts are configured to be adjusted to the external edge of the belt pulley. While the pressure is applied to the belt, it builds friction that is used to transmit friction into motion.

How to Identify the Correct Drive Belt?

How to Measure the Length of the V Belt?

The longevity of the drive belt or poly V belt is measured by using the underline circumference of the belt. This is carried out with one of the two, like a specialist V belt calculating device or a cloth tape. Avoid measuring by using steel tape or a ruler. When you carry out the circumference of the belt, the magnetic tape will simply offer you the length. 

What Measures are Taken for the Width of the V Belt?

By looking into a belt's cross-section, a confined belt or wedge belt may have trapezoidal structured teeth found on the inner side of the belt. Calculating the width is straightforward; simply measure throughout the top of the vee and the rise of the vee. The section size is related to the two measurements.
