RF Transmitter and Receiver
RF modules are used in many projects for transmitting and receiving data because of their high-volume applications compared to IR. An RF transmitter operates by working in pairs, which means that it always needs a receiver and transceiver to send out the data and receive it. As the transmitter is used only to transmit the data and the receiver receives it; thus data is sent from one end to another and cannot be done the other way around.
RF Transmitter Module
Transmitter modules are known to have three VCC, Din, and ground pins. The input voltage of the Vcc pin is high and ranges from 3V to 12V. The transmitter can consume current ranging from a minimum of 9mA and a maximum f 40mA during the transmission process. The center pin is known as the data pin used to transmit the signals.
RF Receiver Module
RF Receiver module usually has four pins known as Vcc, Linear, Dout, and Ground. The Vcc pin usually needs a voltage supply of 5V to be powered. The current required for operating this module is 5.5 mA. The two pins that are shorted together are known as linear and dout to receive a signal of 433Mhz from the air. The signals are demodulated and sent out through the pins.
