3M™ Versaflo™ Particulate Filter, TR-3712E
3M™ Versaflo™ Particulate Filter is a high-efficiency filter that has been designed to be used with 3M™ Versaflo™ Powered Air Respirator TR 300+. It is easy to change the filters, and it can be done quicker comparatively.
Powered air-purifying respirators need a blower to release the air through the respirator filter or canister. These filters are designed with replaceable filters and protect against fumes, bags of dust, and mists with a contamination level <0.05 mg/m3, including lithium hydride and beryllium, protecting radionuclides.
Purifying air respirators are tested by using either a dust test for dust type respirators or a fume test for fume type respirators. A filter test stand would be needed during this test. The contaminant for the silica dust test would be ground flint. For the lead fume test, the impurity can be obtained when impinging the oxygen-gas flame on a molten lead. One requirement for the test is that during the test, the unretained test suspension shall not exceed 1.5 mg in case of silica test and 1.8 mg during the lead fume test.
