My Panasonic Home Phone 4 is over 5 years old. About 6 months ago they started to malfunction. The phone battery icon indicates that the phone is fully charged. Remember the battery is true from the day I bought the phone. I purchased 8 packs of Panasonic NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries from enrgtech. I installed new batteries in all 4 phones and charged the phones for 7 hours as recommended. All four phones now work like new phones. There is no problem. It is recommended to replace the battery before replacing the phone. Saving the money will give this battery another 5 years. They fit and worked fine.
