The Festo SIES-V3B-PS-S-L is a small inductive proximity sensor designed to detect metal objects at close range. It is commonly used in machines and automated systems that require accurate position detection in tight spaces. With a 2 mm sensing distance, it is suited for applications where precise, repeatable detection matters more than long range. This sensor operates on a 10-30 V DC supply and features a PNP normally open output, making it effortless to integrate into standard industrial control circuits.
The sensor detects metal targets without physical contact. This helps reduce mechanical wear and improves reliability in environments where parts move frequently.
The PNP normally open output is widely used in automation systems and works well with PLC inputs and control modules. Once a metal object enters the sensing area, the output switches on, allowing the control system to react immediately.
