The Festo UC-3/8 pneumatic silencer reduces exhaust noise in compressed air systems. It fits directly onto pneumatic valve exhaust ports, allowing air to escape while lowering sound levels during operation. With a pressure rating up to 10 bar, it is suitable for most standard industrial pneumatic applications. This silencer is commonly used in automation systems that require noise control without restricting airflow.
Made from PE (polyethene), the UC-3/8 is lightweight and resistant to moisture and common industrial contaminants. The threaded G 3/8 male connection allows quick installation on compatible pneumatic components without special tools.
When compressed air is released from valves or actuators, the silencer diffuses the airflow rather than allowing it to exit directly. This reduces sharp exhaust noise and helps keep work areas quieter. It does not affect system pressure or performance when used within rated limits. The silencer can be left installed continuously and requires minimal maintenance under normal operating conditions.
