The Festo DSNU-16-15-PPS-A is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder designed for short-stroke linear movement in automated systems. It uses compressed air to move the piston in both directions, providing better control than single-acting cylinders. With a 16 mm bore and 15 mm stroke, this model is typically used where space is limited but consistent motion is required.
This cylinder converts air pressure into smooth linear motion. Because it is double-acting, air pressure controls both extension and retraction, which improves positioning accuracy and repeatability during operation.
The PPS version includes pneumatic end-position cushioning. This helps slow the piston near the end of its stroke, reducing impact and wear on the cylinder and surrounding components.
