The Festo DSNU-16-80-PPV-A is a compact round pneumatic cylinder used for pushing, pulling, and positioning tasks in automated systems. It converts compressed air into linear movement and is commonly installed in machines where space is limited but reliable motion is required. With a 16 mm bore and 80 mm stroke, it fits well in small assemblies without sacrificing control. This cylinder is designed for continuous operation in industrial environments, not occasional use.
Compressed air plunges into the cylinder and moves the piston rod forward or backwards, depending on the air supply. The built-in cushioning helps slow the piston at the end of its stroke, reducing impact, noise, and wear on both the cylinder and the machine it is mounted to.
The stainless-steel piston rod and robust housing allow the cylinder to handle repeated cycles without losing alignment or performance. The PPV cushioning adjustment lets technicians fine-tune end-position damping based on load and speed.
