The Festo HGL-1/2-QS-12 is a threaded non-return valve that allows airflow in one direction while blocking reverse flow. It is typically used in pneumatic systems where pressure needs to be held or where backflow could affect cylinders, valves, or air lines. Operating within a pressure range of 0.5 to 10 bar, it fits standard industrial compressed-air setups without special adjustments. This valve is used as a basic control component rather than a regulating device. Its role is straightforward: keep air moving in the right direction and prevent it from flowing back.
Once installed, the valve opens automatically when air flows in the permitted direction. If pressure drops or reverses, the internal mechanism closes to prevent air from returning into the system.
The HGL-1/2-QS-12 features a threaded body for secure mounting and a push-in connection for 12 mm pneumatic tubing. This combination makes installation quick while still providing a firm, leak-resistant connection. It is suitable for control cabinets, machine frames, and distributed pneumatic layouts.
