The Festo CQL-12 is a right-angle pneumatic adaptor that connects two 12 mm tubes via push-in fittings at both ends. It is mainly used where tubing needs to change direction cleanly without bending or stressing the hose. This makes it useful in compact pneumatic layouts where space is limited. The fitting is made from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid plastic generally used in pneumatic systems for its potency, low friction, and resistance to wear.
This adaptor uses a push-in design, allowing tubes to be inserted directly without tools. Once inserted, the tube is held firmly in place and can be removed when needed using the release ring.
The CQL-12 is designed for standard compressed air applications. The POM body offers good dimensional stability and handles regular pressure changes without deforming. It is lightweight but strong enough for continuous operation in automated equipment. This fitting is typically used in systems where tubing is frequently routed around frames, cylinders, or moving parts.
It is often used to improve hose routing rather than as a primary flow-control component.
