The Festo CQ-18 is a straight tube-to-tube adaptor designed to join two pneumatic tubes securely in a straight line. It is commonly used in compressed air systems where a clean, reliable connection is needed without changing direction. Made from polyoxymethylene (POM), the adaptor is lightweight, durable, and well-suited for everyday industrial pneumatic applications. This fitting is built for routine use in automation systems, air distribution lines, and machine assemblies where reliability matters more than complexity.
Polyoxymethylene is used because it resists wear, pressure, and repeated connection cycles. The CQ-18 maintains its grip on tubing even in systems that experience vibration or frequent air flow changes.
The push-in design allows tubes to be connected quickly by hand. You simply insert the tube ends until they lock in place. This speeds up installation during machine assembly or maintenance work and reduces downtime when changes are needed. The fitting also allows clean removal when required, without damaging the tube.
It is mainly used where space is limited and straight-through airflow is required, without bends or adapters.
