The Festo CRSMT-8M-PS-24V-K-0,3-M8D-EX2 is a magnetic proximity sensor used to detect piston position in pneumatic cylinders. It operates by sensing the piston magnet's magnetic field, enabling reliable end-position detection without physical contact. This sensor is typically used in automation systems that require consistent switching and compact installation. It is designed for stable operation in industrial environments where vibration and repeated movement are part of daily operation.
The sensor mounts directly into the T-slot of compatible pneumatic cylinders. When the piston reaches the sensing zone, the magnetic field triggers the sensor output. This allows controllers to know the exact position of the cylinder without mechanical wear.
The CRSMT-8M operates on a 24 V DC supply and provides a PNP switching output. It comes with a fixed 0.3 m cable and an M8 connector, making installation quick and clean in compact control panels or machine frames. Its low-profile design helps keep installations neat and protected.
