I purchased this DC motor controller to control a squirrel fan rated to draw 5.4 amps. The controller does a good job, in this case, let me decide between how fast and how quiet I want the fan to be. Mounting is a bit awkward, four accessible holes in the frame would be helpful. It's odd that the screw terminals for power input and output are on the side, and a small three-way slide switch is right next to the terminals. Overall it seems to work well but fitting and access to the terminals and slide switch could be better if the terminals were on the back (opposite side of the dial) and the on/off slide switch was on the back of the cable. next to the dial.
