We travel a lot but had problems with our phone batteries after the trip and my iron got very hot when we traveled in the Dominican Republic due to differences in electricity. This adapter is easily convertible and works great when we travel outside the UK and we haven't had any problems. I just keep the adapter packed in all of our suitcases when we get home.
