The Hammond 1598EGY is a general-purpose electronic project enclosure combining a durable ABS external housing with an internal aluminium mounting plate. Designed for small control systems, interface modules, power electronics, and PCB assemblies, it offers a clean installation layout with reliable mechanical protection. The grey finish provides a neutral appearance for industrial or instrumentation use. The enclosure measures 160 × 160 × 86 mm, offering internal space suitable for board assemblies, wiring terminals, connectors, and small power supplies.
The combination of an ABS outer shell with an aluminium internal plate provides both environmental durability and reliable support for internal hardware.
