The Festo MS4-LFR-1/8-D7-ERM-AS is a combined pneumatic filter and pressure regulator used to prepare compressed air before it reaches valves, cylinders, or other air-driven equipment. It is designed for compact pneumatic systems that require clean, stable air pressure without adding unnecessary size to the setup. With a G 1/8 connection and fine 40 μm filtration, this unit fits well in control cabinets, small machines, and localised air-preparation points.
This unit performs two basic but essential tasks. First, it removes solid particles from the compressed air. Second, it regulates pressure to a controlled level, protecting downstream components from pressure fluctuations. In day-to-day operation, it helps prevent valve sticking, seal wear, and inconsistent actuator movement caused by dirty or unstable air supply.
The MS4 series is built for industrial use and designed for a long service life. This model supports operating pressures up to 10 bar for UL applications and a maximum system pressure of 14 bar, making it suitable for standard industrial compressed air systems.
It is often used close to the point of use rather than as a central air preparation unit.
