The Roth Elektronik RE225-LF is a single-sided FR4 Eurocard PCB designed for basic electronic prototyping and circuit assembly. It follows the DIN 41652 Eurocard format, making it suitable for development work, testing, and small production runs that require a standard board size. This board is typically utilised in labs, workshops, and educational setups where reliability and compatibility matter more than complex multilayer design.
The PCB measures 160 × 100 mm and is 1.5 mm thick, providing sufficient surface area for structured layouts while still fitting standard Eurocard holders and enclosures. It features a 35 × 42-hole grid, each 1 mm in diameter, allowing easy mounting of through-hole components.
The hole pitch is 2.54 × 2.54 mm, which matches standard through-hole components such as resistors, capacitors, IC sockets, pin headers, and connectors. This spacing allows clean routing and predictable placement without the need for custom adapters.
It is often chosen when designers want a reliable base for manual assembly without moving to a fully custom PCB.
