I use this product in line with my boat's marine toilet, which has a water supply a few feet above the toilet, allowing it to slowly flood. Since that's when I installed it, I knew I needed some sort of inline solenoid. The leading marine supply store has small but plastic plastic products, and the first online search found similar products. Came across it while looking for something brass, steel, etc. by choosing a better material than plastic. They're overbuilt for what I need, but you know what? Why are you complaining about the price? After installing it, they worked perfectly...I saw the toilet backing up slowly. Luckily the unit only had 4 bolts to loosen and we found the problem. I discovered that a piece of plastic from my water tank had gone into this solenoid and got stuck, preventing the solenoid from sealing properly. So I solved 100% of the problem in 10 minutes. So after. If you NEED a solenoid or ANY solenoid I HIGHLY recommend this.
