The temperature is accurate and the gauge is easy to read, but I wish more numbers were displayed on the gauge. I know it is very difficult. One thing that bothers me is the spring holding the temperature gauge. When I pulled the spring around the pipe it slipped out of the needle nose pliers and was gone. I know springs are available at the hardware store, but I used nylon ties to hold them in place. The temperature of the pipe does not exceed 130F so it should be fine. It is very easy to carry if you don't have a zip tie.
