The FTDI Chip TTL‑232RG‑VREG1V8‑WE is a USB‑to‑UART conversion cable that supports TTL signalling at a reference voltage of +1.8 V, making it ideal for low‑voltage embedded systems. The internal electronics are based on the FT232R USB‑to‑serial interface IC, housed within the USB Type‑A connector, while the opposite end terminates in six colour‑coded wires (TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, VCC, GND).
